Within a couple of years, Arrogant Frog has made itself the mascot of our Estates. The humble winemaker shows that with creativity, know-how and a sense of humour, one can make Southern Franch wines shine around the world and give pure pleasure, at a reasonable price! Arrogant Frog represents our South of France “Art de Vivre”. Château Arrogant Frog is made out of 20 hectares (50 acres) in the Limoux grand cru. The Arrogant Frog cuvées are Château Arrogant Frog, Arrogant Frog reserve, as well as single varietal or blends.

The Vine
11 to 23 years old vines. Cordon de Royat/Guyot Double pruning.
Soil type : Clay and limestone deeper cool soil.
Harvest : Partly hand-picked and partly mechanical.

Vinification
Grape destemming, no skin contact. Pneumatic press (only free-run juice is used, pressings are handled separately), racking at 10°C for clarification of the wine, filtration of the must deposit and re-blended in the clear juice, fermentation at 16°C for 18 days with selected yeast: VL3. During all the process the wine is preserved from oxygen contact with the use of Nitrogen gas. Winemaking and ageing for 2 months on its lees in stainless steel 150Hl round shaped vats.
Tasting Notes
Colour : Very bright gold with green tints
Nose : Complex with litchies, grapefruit, gooseberry and herbaceous aromas with some slightly smoky notes.
Palate : Fruity with a good acidity and balance that give rich mouth feel and a good length.
Food pairing : best served with shell-fish, poached or grilled seafood, cold lemon dressing salads and asparagus dishes.
